Petrol price cut by Rs 3.77 per liter, Diesel price slashed Rs 2.91

The new prices will be effective from midnight of 31 March


The Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) today announced Rs 3.77 per litre cut in petrol prices along with Rs 2.91 per litre cut in diesel rates in order to align the domestic rates of the automobile fuels with global benchmarks.

The new prices will be effective from midnight of 31 March, post the revision petrol prices would come down to Rs 67.37 per litre in Delhi and diesel rates will come down to Rs 56.11 per litre. Actual price increases would vary from state to state depending on local levies.


“The current level of international product prices of Petrol & Diesel and INR-USD exchange rate warrant decrease in selling price of Petrol and Diesel, the impact of which is being passed on to the consumers with this price revision,” Indian Oil Corp (IOC), the nations largest fuel retailer said
